What is the ntop.org website used for?
The ntop.org website exists to share information about our tools — ntopng, nDPI, PF_RING, and the rest of the ntop suite — along with research, technical articles, and updates from our community. It’s a resource for network engineers, security professionals, and researchers who use or are evaluating our software.
Do you accept guest posts?
No. We do not accept guest posts on ntop.org. This is a deliberate choice, not an oversight.
Why not?
- We want to avoid advertising. Guest posts are often a vehicle for promoting unrelated products, services, or companies. Accepting them would turn our website into an advertising channel, which isn’t what ntop.org is for.
- We want to keep content relevant to our community. Our readers come to ntop.org for deep, technical content about packet capture, deep packet inspection, and network monitoring. Off-topic or generic content — even if well-written — dilutes the value of the site for the people who rely on it.
What if I’ve written something good about ntop?
We’re glad to hear it. If you’ve published a high-quality, technical article about ntop tools on your own blog, company website, or another third-party outlet, let us know. We’re happy to review it, and if it’s a good fit, we may repost or link to it for our community.
How do I submit something for consideration?
