What is your software licensing model?

Most of our products (e.g. ntop and PF_RING) are offered in source format under the GPL or LGPL licenses. Some of them that contain IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) (e.g. PF_RING ZC) that we want to share only with selected users, and thus we distribute them only in binary format. What is the procedure for becoming resellers?

License Types: SystemId-based vs Floating Licenses

By default ntop commercial licenses are bound to a systemId that uniquely identifies a system using host information including the CPU type and MAC address of the management NIC. In case a user changes he hardware platform running the license, the systemId changes and thus the license is invalidated. For each orderId, a user can revoke free-of-charge an existing license once.
